Cradle Roll (Nursery) A nursery is provided for the care of the youngest children, allowing their parents to fully participate in worship services and classes knowing that their children are given the best attention possible. A Cradle Roll class allows the young children to start learning about Jesus and the Bible at an early age. Praise and Learning Service (PALS) During part of the worship service, a Praise and Learning Service (PALS) is provided for ages 3 years old to Pre-K. This allows the children to experience the full worship service and then go to the PALS right after communion for age-appropriate lessons and activities. Sunday School After our worship service, classes are provided for 2 year-olds through 5th grade. These classes teach the Bible and help provide a basis for the children to grow in their understanding of Jesus. These classes also prepare our children as the enter our youth program as they become young adults. Grow Like Jesus Grow Like Jesus provides additional activities for 2nd to 5th graders that builds on their relationships developed during their Wednesday evening classes. Typical activities for GLJ include Bible Bowl (see below), fundraiser activities for missions, singing at nursing homes, Bible verse memorization, flashlight tag, caroling, bowling and other activities. Sonshine Kids Sonshine Kids is a program for Wednesday night classes for 4 year-olds to 1st grade. This includes puppets, Bible stories, crafts, and games. Some nights we have movie night where kids watch Bible-based videos. Vacation Bible School Each summer, we have a great Vacation Bible School for ages 4 to 4th grade. Kids are encouraged to invite their friends for three mornings of learning a message from God's Word. Parents are welcome to help with activities and the youth put on great skits as well. Bible Bowl Each winter, a number of area congregations participate in a Bible Bowl. Children from 2nd thru 5th grades spend three months on Wednesday evenings learning a portion of God's Word in preparation for the area-wide Bible Bowl. The competition is fierce but friendly as the children learn lessons from the Bible that will stick with them for many years. |
